Here is today’s reflection: Take a few moments to reflect on the biggest thing that’s been weighing you down in life. This could be anything from unhealthy relationships to money problems… You’ll recognise them as unhealthy patterns that repeat themselves. Got it? I’d like to share a trick with you.
When I’m feeling weighed down, these 4 steps lighten my load:
- In my mind’s eye, I imagine a cord tying me to this negative person, situation, habit or object.
- Next, I imagine a gigantic scissors cutting this cord. I allow myself to feel the freedom of no longer being attached.
- I thank the person, situation, habit or object for the lessons its taught me.
- I then imagine my future, free of this negative energy. After all, I’m creating it with my thoughts!
Letting go of the past doesn’t necessarily mean cutting people out of my life – although it could! It simply means I don’t have to dwell on my past mistakes.
